FST Technical Services, a professional services firm specializing in commissioning, QA/QC and Analytical Testing services and sustainability consulting has partnered with HOLT Construction to serve as the LEED Construction Administration lead for the New Capital One Landing at LaGuardia Airport’s Terminal B. FST will be supporting the LEED certification process by acting as the subject matter expert in collaboration with HOLT Construction to champion the select construction related Materials & Resources (MR) and Indoor Environmental Quality (EQ) credits for the project which is pursuing a LEED Gold for Commercial Interiors v4 / 4.1certification. he state-of-the-art Capital One Landing will be a new type of airport lounge focusing on combining the traditional lounge experience with an elevated dining experience. FST’s review and tracking of the required construction related materials, field practices and construction waste management will ensure the projects meets its sustainability goals while supporting a healthy indoor environment from the utilization of low-emitting materials and finishes from Day 1 of operation.

The 10,700-square-foot lounge is located on one of the iconic sky bridges in the new, state-of-the-art Terminal B, which offers both indoor and outdoor areas with panorama views of the NYC skyline and the airport. The lounge is designed for shorter stays, and the Landing is easily accessible for travelers heading to their gates, making it a convenient option for a quick yet high-quality meal. Capital One has teamed up with world-renowned chef and humanitarian José Andrés to craft the menu for Capital One Landings, which will include authentic Spanish tapas alongside a variety of nutritious and creative dishes.
